My Background

With 32 years of experience as a Health and Physical Education, Nutrition, and Science teacher and coach, I’ve spent my life helping others develop strength, resilience, and confidence—in and outside of the classroom.

 

I have a profound appreciation for all things outdoors, from paddling, skiing, cycling, and swimming to hiking and foraging. When I’m not outside adventuring, you can find me curled up with my dog, knitting everything from cozy sweaters to tiny baby booties, or cooking nutritious meals for my family and friends. But the role I cherish most is being a mother to two wonderful children who continue to make me proud every day.

My Approach

My children will tell you that my infamous “just a little further” speeches on our hikes are often followed by a few extra kilometres, but I believe in the power of pushing through challenges, which I bring into every aspect of my care. I know that with the right support, you are capable of more than you think, and I’m here to be that support for you during your pregnancy and birth journey.

 

Developing strong relationships is the foundation of everything I do, both professionally and personally. As a doula, I’m committed to creating an environment where you feel cared for, heard, and empowered.

 

Whether it’s advocating for your birth plan, helping you make informed decisions, or simply providing comfort and encouragement, I am here for you every step of the way. Together, we’ll create a birth experience that is as unique and powerful as you are.
